Heritage Pavilion Stage is pleased to sponsor an exciting training drama workshop for school-children ages 9 to 14 in the fall of 2007!
 
·Participants: 15-20 students ages 9 to 14 will take part in the development of a short, 1- hour play adapted from Dylan Thomas’ famous poem “A Child’s Christmas in Wales”
 
·The training is an exciting opportunity for students, working with a seasoned professional, to see how a play is developed from start to finish, adapted from other material, produced and performed. Students will be ainer: Phil Oakley, local actor, director, and Heritage Pavilion Stage Artistic Director and veteran of many professional theatre companies. Since 1994 has taught evening classes in theatre and drama to people aged 5 to 75. Has taught at many of the Kawartha Pine Ridge schools, specifically for PCVS Drama-Rama Day in October 2006. He has also taught summer classes for the Market Hall Theatre for the last five years.
 
·Registration limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
·Rehearsals :  Tuesday nights for 2 hours, from October 23 through December 11, 2007
Location: Peterborough Arts Umbrella, 378 Aylmer St. North
 
·Pre-performance week December 10-14 :  2 evenings 4 hours each December 15 & 16 - 4 hours each for dress rehearsal   
Location:  St. Luke’s Church, 566 Armour Rd.
 
·Performance week:  December 18-20 – morning performances for schools
December 20-21 – public evening performance
December 22 – public matinee
Location : St Luke’s Church : Fee per student:  $175.00, including materials.
